Guggenheim is a top operative of the Huntik Foundation. He assigns missions to the Seekers such as Dante Vale, Lok Lambert and Sophie Casterwill. Guggenheim also answers their questions about the missions and what their objectives are.
Guggenheim began to discover his Seeker abilities when he was 8 years old. He was at summer camp at Germany. He and his group, including one American boy, were assigned for some type of survival competition, spending the night in the woods without any adults. Guggenheim didn't remember how the American boy had gotten invited to the German camp. His team had been organized very well. They had gathered firewood, pitched their tent, and managed to catch rabbits to eat.
However, once they noticed that nobody had any way to start a fire, a few of the guys tried to rub sticks together to start a fire, to no avail. Most of the group, aside from Guggenheim, went to the tent to discuss a plan. Guggenheim said he would keep trying to start the fire with the sticks.
Guggenheim had waited a few minutes until the coast was clear before he whispered "Boltflare" in order to set the stack of wood on fire. The American boy was going to tell Guggenheim to come to the tent. After witnessing him cast Boltflare, the American boy shouted "You German Wizard!"
One of the kids, Gunther Von Bulow, said "German Wizard? Ridiculous! Guggenheim is from Switzerland!"
Guggenheim is very talented at research. He also seems to have a soft spot for flowers, as seen when he got interested in a plant on the market in Hamelin, and enjoys eating tasty food. He hasn't show much of his abilities, but he has to be skilled and intelligent, as he is a part of the Huntik Council.
- His name may come from the city of Guggenheim. In Old High German, heim means home or homeland. The meaning of the first part of the word is still disputed.
